Iris scanner works on the principle of uniqueness of everyone’s iris. Iris are unique due to the amount of melanin content in them.
Crypts and ridges in iris are all unique and very little affected by genes. Iris scanner functions by sending a beam of infrared light that bounces back to it with certain frequency which is then decoded by a processing unit.
