It started with the original 1994 Resident Evil and has spawned dozens of games under the franchise. Capcom’s hit series focuses on survival horror games but also includes movies, comic books, novels, and audio dramas. The story follows an outbreak of zombies and other monsters created mainly by the acts of the Umbrella Corporation.

Even though there have been numerous spin-offs and sequels/prequels to the point where there have been dozens of Final Fantasy titles released, the main series consists of fifteen (numbered) titles. The first title was released in 1987, developed and published by Square Enix.
